Hi All,
I'm having a problem with Samba and Active directory authentication and
hopefully someone might spot something that I'm doing wrong.
I have two Linux servers here one running Ubuntu 5.10 and the other
CentOS 4.1. I'm using both of these servers in a test environment in the
hopes of integrating our production servers into our Active Directory.
All our production servers are running CentOS.
I have successfully configured the Ubuntu machine to authenticate using
AD and it was pretty simple and straight forward but CentOS is proving
to be a different beast! Following various howto's and much googling I
seem to have hit a brick wall. I ihave sucessfully managed to add the
CentOS machine to the AD but it will not authenticate from it and it
seems that it doesn't even recognise the username either. If I do a
wbinfo -n Administrator I can view the SID of that user. I have a
niggling feeling that it might be down to PAM but again I'm not too sure.
Rather than append the config files to this mail I have posted the
working Ubuntu configs here:
http://www.sweetnam.eu//mediawiki/index.php/Using_Active_Directory_for_Ubuntu
And the non working CentOS one here:
http://www.sweetnam.eu/mediawiki/index.php/Config_files_on_CentOS
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Robert
