I've used it on my apple laptop, it's very nice, very easy to use.
most dvd ripping programmes/mencoder guides assume you know lots about
video codecs. HandBrake is nice cause you point it at a DVD, a title
number and a filesize and it does the rest. The GUI doesn't work on
Linux AFAIR, but it has a nice simple command line interface.
