You won't. I can't speak about NASA, but I expect that their software
procurement procedure is similar to ESA's, and I can assure you that
fancy desktop switching won't cut much ice there - they tend to be a
tad more interested in their functional requirements, and stable
platforms are of more than passing interest to them.
That said, they use Windows desktops, so sense doesn't prevail
overall :-) And it certainly doesn't hurt for a proposal to look
polished. But there's polished, and there's shiny white suit . . . .
