Well I was giving my experience with it, which is *only* RAID10.

Well, thing is we got about 50+ of them and as every big batch, a few
of them is likely to die in the first week if there is an issue with
them, which is exactly what happened.
Heat is not an issue, they're in a server room with proper cooling.
They are mounted vertically. Here's the chassis :
