the new anti-spam system doesn't like me (I think
I know why, and that is NOT what this posting is
about). above is the autoreply I got. please note
it is Highly Misleading: ILUG is not a members-only
list. posts by non-subscribers are welcome, it's
just now the (first?) such post is human-filtered
as an anti-spam measure.
I suggest updating the message to better reflect
ILUG's policy. e.g. (this is off the top-of-my-head
and so can almost certainly be improved, corrected,
and clarified, but it should illustrate the point):

Either the message will get posted to the list, or you will receive
notification of the moderator's decision. If the message is posted,
future messages from this same account will not be further delayed
for moderation. The Irish Linux Users Group encourages questions
about Linux and Open Source software from non-subscribers, and also
encourages non-subscribers to subscribe [ ... and so on ... ]
