do you really need teh 251mW ??
Think about it like this : the router is the artist on stage at a big
concert, turning it up to 11 (or 251) means everyone can "hear", but
most likely with some echo / distortion. More to the point the artist
(router) can't 'hear' the audience individually. A WiFi connection needs
to be two-way :)
it's worth stepping up the output little by little, but watch the SNR
your iwconfig output shows ... there will be an optimal point, but I
doubt it's at 11 !
