I've stayed out of this, but this is TOO silly to not remark. We're  
not talking about moderation based on relevant content - only  
moderation of mails from non subscribers, and only for killing spam.

If this can be done without expecting too much of the list  
administrator, then I'd say go for it. Of course there is an AGM  
coming up soon, and those who would like the list to be come  
subscriber only are welcome to come along and propose making that  
ILUG policy.
