The article is more fiction than fact. There were similar rumors about
SuSE some time ago.
There is a group working on Debian and Ubuntu, but the product managers
did not confirm any certification for OracleWorld. There is a .deb
package for Oracle XE and more good news arriving shortly.
Oracle Ireland hosts the European Development Centre. The main groups
work on new products, porting, performance tunning, data migration,
product translation and quality assurance. There are over 260 developers
in several areas. Oracle SQL Developer is credited to EDC.
