A friend of mine got burned recently by Scan. He bought a Dell 24" LCD
from them (they were 50 euro cheaper than Dell themselves) and it was
DOA. Scan refused the return because Dell handle after sales directly.
Not such a big deal, except for one thing..... Scan bought the LCD from
Dell over 31 days before they sold it on, so refused to give a DOA. All
they would do is a refurbished replacement. Scan refused to budge
because sales to Ireland are not covered under UK distance selling
regulations.
