Facility is an administration package used in schools in Ireland for
processing information which is sent to the Department of Education. It
was developed by CCM in Ireland http://www.ccmsoftware.com/ and is now
owned by Serco www.serco.com.
I haven't looked at it properly for about 5 years but last time I did it
was very windows based, poorly supported and buggy. Found this brief and
very one sided analysis of its database backend - can't verify its
accuracy but wouldn't be too surprised if it is accurate from when I saw
it last -

Can anyone tell me about this software from a linux perspective, linux
client, web accesible etc. I see from their website they now do a
product called eportal - anyone ever used/managed this from a linux
machine.
I am being asked to spread the use of facility on the school network and
want to know what I am letting myself in for so any experiences good,
bad or indifferent would be appreciated.
