If they're winxp pro machines then you can enable remote desktop on
them. Assuming you have a secure path from your linux machine to your
windows machine, the easiest thing to do is to use rdesktop.
On your xp pro box, right click on my computer and go to properties. In
the Remote tab, select "Allow users to connect remotely to this
computer" in the "Remote Desktop" section. Then use rdesktop to connect
on your linux box.
