[ILUG] Problem with writing to HD

I formated a new 250 gig drive using vfat ( mkfs.var /dev/hdc1 ) , mounted
it with the follow

mount -t vfat /dev/hdc1 /home/250

only I cannot write to it over samba. I have 3 drives shared in samba, one
of them being another HD and I can write to them no problem and the config
in samba for the 250 drive and the other HD are the same. Am I missing write
permissions or something ?
