ah! you want an anti-virus scanner for your mail server.

I assume that the mail server is Linux. (otherwise, why post to a Linux 
mailing list?)

the two that come to mind are Clam anti-virus and F-Prot. They're also very 
high on a Google search:

other people would have better information than me - I'm not a mail administrator.
