I have these mapped in KDE - but this is on top of Solaris. I used the KDE
Control Center (Regional and Accessibility -> Keyboard Shortcuts) to map
the keys, and it "just worked". It updates the file
"~/.kde/share/config/globals" with
Copy=Ctrl+C;Copy
Paste=Ctrl+V;Paste

Probably no help to you at all, though, unless you want to switch to KDE
and, possibly, Solaris.
