what's the "eth1" at the end supposed to do?
anyway, you need the eth1394 module also; and since the then-added
ethernet isn't active yet, you need "ifconfig -a" to peek on it.
I suggest you to read the manuals for the modinfo, ifconfig and modprobe
commands.
