[ILUG] growing lvm volume group on expanded md raid

[ILUG] growing lvm volume group on expanded md raid

Hi,

I could do with a little advice from someone with LVM experience. Is it
possible to grow an lvm volume group into the space created when a physical
volume it is on grows (it's an md raid array)? If I try lvexpand, it
complains that the physical volume is already part of the group.

I have a md RAID5 array with an lvm volume group on it with two logical
volumes on that. I've grown the RAID5 array. Is it now possible to tell
the LVM volume group to grow into the space (as opposed to extend it onto a
new logical volume, which lvextend seems to want to do).

I've been looking through the docs but I'm a total novice at lvm and I
haven't seen this possibility.

Gavin
