[ILUG] Is Aldi Camera linux-compatible? (long shot)

[ILUG] Is Aldi Camera linux-compatible? (long shot)

Frank Peelo f26p at eircom.net

On Thursday, Aldi will be offering a 5MP Digital Camera DC55 for EUR80.

Details of the camera in the weekly brochure and on www.aldi.ie (click
"Thursday Special Buys 26th April 2007" and it's the 1st item on the 4th
row) are sketchy. Other than "5MP Digital Camera DC55" and the fact that
the word "Traveler" is printed on the front of the camera, I can't see
anything that would identify it.

I'd be interested in buying one, but not if I can't get my computer to
talk to it...

http://www.teaser.fr/~hfiguiere/linux/digicam.html doesn't know anything
about this, although it does know two other Aldi Traveler cameras.

I know it's a bit of a long shot, but: Anyone know anything about this
camera?

Thanks

Frank
