May I speak up for the True Original, eircom.
They may be more expensive than anyone else,
and probably slower than most,
but the hassle-coefficient is very low.

Communication with Telecoms and ISPs should carry a health warning,
"Attempts to communicate with this organisation
will seriously increase your risk of stroke and mental instability."

In my experience, it is possible to speak to a normal human being at eircom
who is (a) in this continent, and
(b) can settle any problems with Eircom easily
(as eircom-eircom communication is quite good).
