I recently bought a Ziova Clearstream CS505 hi-def network media
player and upscaling DVD player.
Plays pretty much all formats I've thrown at it (with the exception of
.mkv containers and h264 encoded files).
Plays media from SMB shares (and uPnP servers apparently), has 10/100
ethernet, 802.11a/b/g, component, composite, s-video, hdmi, analog
audio and optical and co-ax spdif out (maybe a few others).
Also plays shoutcast streams and has a few other bells & whistles I
haven't used much like photo archive display and direct usb-storage
connection.
Only place in Europe I found to buy was here (note the CS510 which is
the same as above but no DVD player):
