Just to add to this.

When Netsource launched it's DSL solution I hired a couple of people
who had been working Eircom support to man our support desk (at the
time, we were also looking to pull back our support from the VIA
NET.WORKS call centre in the UK as well).

Both of the people hired remarked that they actually found Eircom
wholesale staff more responsive to them as Netsource employees than
they had as Eircom employees (it was even alleged that being a
"nusiance" in order to get customers fixed could result in complaints
to one's manager or possibly even Eircom HR).

It's also the case that a couple of Eircom.Net/Indigo employees
remarked to me in the pub that they had just as big issues getting
circuits from Eircom, and they didn't have recourse to things like
Comreg's delivery time requirements.
