Firstly Knode is a Usenet reader, and Usenet != e-mail. Gmane works by
someone entering the list details on http://gmane.org/subscribe.php .
The Gmane server then signs itself up to the mailing list and posts a
new Usenet article to it's Usenet server on receipt of an email from the
list. There may be people on this list who may object to their emails
being circulated on Usenet, so I think a vote is in order before anyone
goes off and signs the ILUG list up.
