I notice Moshe Bar has left Xensource to found Qumranet,
which develops KVM which has just been merged into the 2.6.20 kernel.
The main technical difference between Xen and KVM is that
with Xen, all operating systems are guest VMs, but with
KVM the host OS sits directly on the hardware and guest
operating systems appear as "normal" processes.
