A handy command when running gnome, just before you log out, and
everything you want is running....
Just type this in a terminal window:
gnome-session-save
And next time you log in, the apps will re-appear.
Mind you, I don't recommend doing this with loads of programs running, I
do it so that I get a terminal window and gkrellm running when I log in.
BTW, has anyone noticed that suspend support in Fedora has improved
greatly, I can now suspend my Acer laptop correctly, which has made a
huge difference.
