[ILUG] Linux HTPC

damian,

i have dabbled a little with this myself.

i used mythdora, as everything was compiled in etc etc.
http://www.g-ding.tv/

knoppmyth was also another distro, but the last time i looked at either,
knoppmyth was slightly behind on the myth versions number, .18 i think
and mythdora was.20

a hauppage PVR-150 (not mce) card should suffice for the time being.
i got an MCE edition card, and while it works fine the remote does not.

i was using a crappy p31ghz i had laying around, and it was able to
encode and pause fwd rwd etc without much hassle.

i used the second scart output from my sky box to an svideo input on the
PVR-150 and audio as well.

as i said it worked fine, but as i never could get the remote to work
properly, i have kind of put it on the back burner for the time being.

James.
