[ILUG] System Lockups

I have built a system at home to run as a ZoneMinder host
(www.zoneminder.com).
It is working pretty damn well, except that it just locks up from time
to time.
I have no errors in the messages file, so I'm not sure where to start
looking next.
From what I can tell, the freezes are the kind where the mouse still
works, but the keyboard doesn't.
The Apache instance still works, but the back-end mysql DB doesn't.
I would suspect the hard drive except that it is SMART enabled, and
there are no SMART error in the messages file.

Any Ideas?
