Try this:

<Proxy *>
        Order Allow,Deny
        Allow from 1.2.3.4
        Deny from all
</Proxy>	

<Directory "/someapp">
        ProxyPass             http://app1.example.com:18001/
        ProxyPassReverse      http://app1.example.com:18001/
</Directory>
