Want to do something worthwhile and fun this summer?

In July Camara <http://www.camara.ie> will be sending 40 Volunteers
out to Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia to teach basic computer
literacy in the computer labs we have been setting up throughout
2006/07.

Camara take computers that are no longer required from Irish 
companies, refurbishes them, installs Edubuntu and sends them out to
schools and colleges in Africa.

If you, or someone you know, would be interested in being part of this 
overseas teaching opportunity please complete the application form

and return to Kirsty (kirsty at camara.ie) before 16th March 2007.

There are some basic requirements to be eligible to volunteer with
Camara:

* Over 18 years old on 30th January 2007

* 50 hours in the Camara workshop

* pre-trip orientation program

* post-trip de-briefing

* fundraise €1,500 per person

Worried you don't have enough experience as a teacher or enough 
knowledge on computers?

It's not a problem, your pre-trip orientation weekend and 50 hours in 
the Camara workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence you need 
to teach with Camara in Africa 2007.
