  | Just placed Xubuntu on an old box.
  |
  | Installing an app which is looking for libqt3c102-mt
  | but I have libgt3-mt
 hum..............^
 is this a mispelling?
 i.e., is it libgt-mt3 (with a Gee) or libqt-mt3 (with a Que)?
whilst I don't know by either your or my question, the name
with a Gee is sufficiently different that linking them seems
a bit worrisome — and if it is with a Gee, I'd go and try and
find out some more about just what _it_ is.
( OTOH, _if_ it's a mispelling and really is Que, what you
have quoted below does seem to suggest they ought to be
  linked — but again, I don't know, that's just a *guess*! )

cheers!

  | Do I link one to the other?
  |
  | From the description of libqt3c102-mt
  | " This is the Trolltech Qt library, version 3. It's necessary for
  | applications that link against the libqt-mt.so.3, e.g. all KDE3
  | applications. "
