Hi,

You need to know the FQDN or IP address of the Active Directory 
controller. You also need and Active Directory account with admin access.
The steps I used to get it working with Ubuntu are here:

Also I have configured CentOS 4.3 which is pretty much almost identical.

Note. All files that required editing I backed up and completely 
replaced using the entries in the tutorials.
