For those interested in playing with a cheap gizmo over the weekend, the
"technika2" webcam tesco has at the moment works for linux - 13 euros only.
Driver is available here: http://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html
Seems to work with kopete and xawtv though frame rate is low.
