[ILUG] USB drive mounted async

Hi all

my ubuntu for some odd reason mounts my USB stick as async and I don't 
really want to have to open a terminal and type sync before I remove it. 
I have tried finding a way to set the automount option to sync but 
haven't really found anything beyond hacking hal scripts which I kinda 
want to avoid of possible.
