[ILUG] Ubuntu Screen crashing

[ILUG] Ubuntu Screen crashing

Hey,

I've just installed a version of Ubuntu and am having some troubles with it.
First of all I had a problem getting my 19" FP monitor working with the OS.
I sorted that out but now I have been hit with another problem.
Occasionally, and not as a result of any particular action, the screen goes
completely white and I cannot see anything. On one occasion I was listening
to some music on my PC when the screen "blanked". The music stopped and I
had to reboot to use Ubuntu again. I figured that if this was just an issue
with the display drivers then the music I was playing should still be heard
regardless of the display.

Can someone help me please, I'm really enjoying using Ubuntu but this issue
is causing me a whole heap of grief.

Thanks in advance,

Mick
