Good god, that's *horrific* advice. That will brutally murder harmless
requests which are being served by perfectly fine threads.
Out of curiosity, is it a deliberate design decision within Wordpress
not to enforce sane limits on the damage plugins can wreak? like an
alarm(), or some ulimit()'s, or encapsulate them in any logging for
fault isolation?
And before anyone points it out, yes it is a deliberate design decision
within Apache httpd to allow modules to wreak havoc, but I don't like it
;-)
