There is a Linux equivalent of Windows "Virtual Audio Cable" (google).
Then this feeds any media server with Audio capture (say VLC or Unreal).
It looks like a sound card driver, except you can define up to 256 
"cables" and each input looks like a soundcard playback to your 
applications and each output looks like a capture source, and one cable 
output can be connected to by several applications (which a real sound 
card capture source can't).

I use VAC on Windows to connect  output of PC DSP SDR  to  DReaM or MixW 
for digital modes reception, as the all the SDR on their  own  only seem 
to do old fashioned FM, AM, SSB & CW audio to speaker.

When I have time I may try and figure how to use my 192kHz sampling 
PCMCIA SoundBlaster and some Linux SDR SW, though I haven't found any 
yet that is comprehensible.
