Either eircom especially hates people on ilug or it is something else.. 
Actually it is the "Something Else"
I've only ever had the bounce complaint in relation to posters on this  
list.  If you  look at the   headers it is not eircom doing the bounce.
Send me an email with me as only recipient and it seems to not be a problem

Examining the headers  Josh Clover sent me was baffling.

This server seemed to be doing the bounce:
 intact01.intactsoftware.local
Though why I don't know.

Josh was able to send me emails that had only my address on them

And of course watty at eircom.net is where I pickup all the ilug mails from.

I'd love for someone to  explain it. I thought I understood SMTP and POP3
