They have no roaming partner in Ireland? I would have thought they'd
roam onto O2 (when I'm in the US I roam from O2 onto Cingular).

Me too, although I'll have to balance my "I want it now" urges against
common sense regarding 1st revision Apple hardware. :-) 3G would also be
nice, if I could get a reasonably priced data plan.
