[ILUG] Fedora 7 Terminal Screen save Output?

Tried Google brough back a load of Ncurses, above my head.

man terminal
man console
man screen

How do I save the console to a txt file from the moment  a command entered,
until I'm back at the prompt.  (having checked the menu at top, didn't 
give me all I needed)
save history doesn't do it.
