The version installed is ktouch 1.5.3 and they need to upgrade to 1.6.

For some reason i could not install it using Apt(cant remember why
> not, may have been because the multi/universe repos were not included),

The apt-get wont work as ktouch 1.6 was intended to be part of kde4 and the release is frozen. Apt-get will not work as it searches for the version allready installed and the newer version is not part of the kdeedu tree at present.

the source files are present here http://ktouch.sourceforge.net/download.php
If you could inform us how exactly to convert it to a .deb package it would be apreciated.
