[ILUG] IDE in a SATA-only box

[ILUG] IDE in a SATA-only box

I've got a new system with SATA for disks, but would like to be able to
use the two 500Gb IDE disks left from the now-deceased predecessor.
I've got a Promise TX2 Ultra133 PCI card, but that doesn't seem to
co-exist will in the BIOS with the SATA AHCI the BIOS also needs to load up.

I'm going to keep trying to figure out a way to fix the card problem
(it's dated 2001, whether that matters or not).

I've not had much luck finding a IDE->SATA adapter, but plenty of the
reverse. So my next thoughts are either a USB2 external enclosure that
can hold *2* disks, or stack two of those if I have to.

Don't suppose one of you have already done this little exercise,
perchance? :)

Thanks,
B
