Hi All,
I have a SLES 10 server with two Dell NetXtreme BCM5704 Gigabit
Ethernet. One of the interfaces connects to the iSCSI target device
which has several partitions (ntfs, ext3). The ntfs is mounted by a
box running Redmonds OS and has no issues with the target.
I am using iscsid version 1.0-604 (default from Suse/Novell). I can
manage to mount a partition no problem. I can transfer small files
onto the partition. However if I try and transfer anything of
substance (greater than 50Mb) I get tonnes of the following errors;
Jun 22 14:31:01 globalapp02 kernel: connection1:0: iscsi: detected
conn error (1011)
Jun 22 14:31:02 globalapp02 iscsid: connection1:0 is operational after
recovery (1 attempts)
Jun 22 14:31:02 globalapp02 iscsid: detected iSCSI connection 1:0
error (1011) state (3)
Jun 22 14:31:02 globalapp02 iscsid: connection1:0 is operational after
recovery (1 attempts)
Jun 22 14:31:02 globalapp02 kernel: connection1:0: iscsi: detected
conn error (1011)
Jun 22 14:31:03 globalapp02 iscsid: detected iSCSI connection 1:0
error (1011) state (3)
Jun 22 14:31:03 globalapp02 iscsid: connection1:0 is operational after
recovery (1 attempts)
This results in CPU load on the box going through the roof and it
becoming unresponsive to kills etc. The only way to regain control is
reboot -fn which is far from ideal.
So I am wondering has anyone come upon this issue before and if so
have they any pointers.
Thanks in advance
AJ
