Hi,
First-off what distro, kernel version etc are you using. What make and model
is your laptop? Is your touchpad a Synaptic, Logitech, or ALPS touchpad.
Read this: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6105 and let me know
if anything help.
Have you tried it in Windows? Do you get the same thing? I am not saying you
have to use windows, but if you get the same thing in windows its most
likely a hardware issue.
