[ILUG] Windows XP question

[ILUG] Windows XP question

Timothy Murphy tim at birdsnest.maths.tcd.ie

I only put that to annoy you.

I'm running a samba server on my Linux (Fedora 6) desktop,
and can mount the shares in my Windows XP Home machine
on my Linux machine.
But I can't see the Linux "shares" I've specified in /etc/samba/cmb.conf
on my Windows machine;
it doesn't appear in My Network Places.
Am I meant to run some program under Windows?

Here is the relevant stanza at the end of my smb.conf :
[tim]
  path = /common/tim
  valid users = tim
  public = yes
  writable = yes
  printable = no
  create mask = 0765

Any suggestions (or other enlightenment) gratefully received.
