Hi all,

Recently I met a problem about Eirecom ADSL modem. Hope somebody can
help me to figrue it out.

The Device list:

 1 Laptop with Wireless card.

1 DLink wireless router (DHCP disabled).

1 Eirecom ADSL Modem (Netopia), also working as DHCP, GATAWAY and
only has 1 Eth port.

when I connected ADSL(Netopia) TO DLINK using a network cable. and
then connected to DLink router wirelessly with the Laptop. (so far I
haven't connect

ADSL(Netopia) To the phone port yet) I do able to get a IP address
from ADSL(Netopia)

However I can't ping or telnet to ADSL Modem or DLink router, only
after I connect ADSL(Netopia) to the phone port.

I wonder could anyone help me out why this happended?

Regard,

K.C
