Actually over here in Canada Corrie is broadcast at a peak time on the
national broadcaster. I'm pretty certain it's also available in the
States easily.

A better example might be something a bit more "cult" and nerdy like
say the new IT crowd series. Although I just watched it on Youtube
instead of downloading it.
