some months ago I accidently washed my bluetooth
headset and destroyed it. ;-( around the same
time my DECT landline phone (a first generation
model) also croaked.
I'm now sortof looking to replace both. today I
had an idea (hey, it happens! ;-) ) and wondered
if there was such a thing as a DECT phone which
also(?) works with a bluetooth headset. and YES,
there are. as a _random_ example:
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/597020/art/siemens/dect-sl-565-telephone-ans.html#fichetechnique
( that's an _example_! I'm neither recommending
nor dis-recommending either that Siemens unit or
the Pixmania retailer. )
does anyone have any experience or recommendations
(good or bad) about DECT-with-bluetooth phones?
my requirements are still very much in flux, albeit
two things are clear:
- the DECT handheld unit must use a rechargeable
battery (I _refuse_ to buy disposable batteries!):
and
- I need at most one DECT handheld unit. (arguably,
with an appropriate basestation and/or voice-dial,
I don't need any (in which case DECT is silly?)?)
there's also the issue it has to work in (and ideally,
be legal to use in) France, albeit it does not need a
French-style massive 19th century T-plug (normal RJ-11
is fine (probably better, in fact!)). (and an English
language manual would also be useful.)
cheers!
