[ILUG] RHEL 3.0 Root Filesystem Problem

I have an issue with a RHEL 3 box where there is 5 Gb free on the root
filesystem, and yet the system is refusing to write a 20Mb audit log due
to lack of contiguous free space.
Any suggestions?
