The Debian project builds on the individual platforms, also to see, what 
might go wrong on the platform instead of relying on a cross compiler.

How about using VMware, pull the source from a central repository, 
having each platform build their installer/package and push them back to 
the space, where they are supposed to be located. That way you still can 
have it all on one machine.
