I've been thinking of getting a server, partly to save power.
I guess many of you are doing this.
If so, could you tell us your setup?
Basically, I don't want a monitor,
but want to support httpd, mysql, ssh, etc.
I was looking at power consumption by different elements -
hard disc, CPU, fan -
and it seemed to me that there wasn't that much room for saving.
My current P3 450MHz with 2 300GB drives uses about 80 watts,
according to the power meter I just bought at Aldi.
