Actually if Dell earn more per PC for installing the crapware than the
price of a copy of windows (which they would get at a huge discount)
then yeah it would be cheaper to install windows than an operating
system that has zero cost but no crapware.
There are alternatives on the market which don't require you to purchase
the MS OS with your laptop or desktop. www.linuxemporium.co.uk or
www.dnuk.com they have wellpriced offerings and the hardware is
qualified to work with Linux. I still think it's better to purchase from
a company which haas Linux as a core offering not an option.......
Since everyone buying a Dell with Ubuntu is buying from the UK
anyway........
