The operating system is Linpus (Xamdros/Linspire) and it uses Xfce for the
Desktop. It has a built in webcam and microphone and it plays virtually
any media file. The webcam saves video in the ogg-vorbis format, so this
may become a de-facto standard in the future.
Being sold as a back to school PC. It is only available with Linux in
Dunnes Stores.
It can be modified under the present operating system but you need to know
your way around the system. Getting to a terminal window requires a bit of
googling.
I would say its amazing value at 299. The store in Arklow had 50 machines
and these are nearly all gone (2 left when I bought one ).
